“Designed for competition”, NACON’s Revolution 5 Pro comes to PS5 this December

A brand new controller designed for those who like a little competition, the Revolution 5 Pro lands for PS5 in December.

ProTip

You might know the name “NACON” as a video game publisher, but the company is apparently adept in the realm of controllers too. We say that because the upcoming Revolution 5 Pro controller for the PS5 looks pretty darn great.

The pad is the sixth generation of controller from the company, and was “designed for competition” in conjunction with pro-players like fighting game master Mister Crimson. It’s also a fair shake different from what you usually find on the platform.

For one thing, it has offset analogue sticks, which are normally found on controllers for everything but the PlayStation. But beyond that, the Revolution 5 Pro has a wired mode, 10hrs of battery life, a huge amount of customization, and more.

  • Asymmetrical sticks: optimal handling and distinct ergonomics
  • Over 10h battery life: for long, wireless gaming sessions without the need to recharge
  • Play in wired mode with a detachable 3m cable, or wirelesswith optimized latency thanks to RF technology.
  • Enhanced precision and durability for joysticks and triggers thanks to Hall Effect technology, reducing “joystick drift” (compared with previous Revolution controllers)
  • Trigger Blocker: adapt to any in-game situation by customizing the trigger amplitude
  • Customisation app (for PC/Mac, coming soon to mobile): offering more freedom to make your controller unique and adapted to the way you play
  • Comprehensive customization: 4 customizable profiles per platform, 3 sets of weights, 3 stick sizes, 3 sets of stick heads, and no fewer than 60 customization options
  • Ergonomic shortcuts: choose the action assignment using the buttons on the back of the controller
  • Bluetooth game audio: when connected to your console, instantly switch between console sound and Bluetooth® stereo headphones
  • Premium materials for improved comfort and handling

NACON press release
