Pre-orders open across all platforms for RoboCop: Rogue City, complete with incentives

Grabbing RoboCop’s first video game in decades next month? Then you might want to pre-order the Alex Murphy Edition.

The name’s Murphy

RoboCop is still one of the biggest names in pop culture, even though the cyborg lawman hasn’t had a movie or video game in ages. That’s a testament to just how beloved the original 1987 MGM film is, which along with its sequel cemented the character as an icon. In the decades since the movie debuted, Robo has starred in innumerable comics, though any other form of media with the hero has for some reason gone by the boards.

If you’ve been waiting for something new that’s worth your time though, November 2nd might be bringing that very thing to consoles and the PC. From NACON and developer Teyon, RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter that’s looking like it might be a winner.

The title brings Officer Alex Murphy back to life, sending him on an all-new mission though Old Detroit. And with the launch approaching in just a few weeks time, pre-orders have officially opened up across all platforms, complete with bonuses and a Deluxe Edition.

Locking in your copy of Rogue City before launch will net you the Vanguard Pack, which includes additional weaponry and some alternate skins. Among those is the ‘blue armor’ from RoboCop 2 as well. So if you’re a fan of that second movie, you might wanna think about that pre-order.

But once again, that’s not all the news today, as the Deluxe Edition is joining the base game at retail. Launching day and date will be the Alex Murphy Edition, which will include everything from the pre-order pack, seemingly excepting the RoboCop 2 armor. Additionally, the Deluxe will have a 48 hour early access play-window and a digital art book.

In parallel with the launch of pre-ordering, OCP can announce the arrival of the Deluxe Edition of the project. Available under the code name Alex Murphy edition, it gives citizens the chance to save their city with style and power: enjoy 48-hour early access, try out the alternative RoboCop costume, get your hands on the iconic Auto-9 prototype version or the super-powerful OCP shotgun, and discover an ultimate video game experience in which you are the hero.
