Nintendo’s Holiday Switch console bundles arrive next month

A trio of new console bundles will be making their way to retail for prospective Switch owners, with one being pretty familiar.

Hello again

Has Nintendo released a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe console bundle every year since the game (and console) debuted? It sure seems like the company has, as similar sku’s have popped up a few times, including in 2022. If you didn’t buy into any of those opportunities, or you’re just in the market for another Switch and somehow don’t have Mario Kart, it’s back again.

Landing early next month, the box set will include a digital copy of the game with a base Nintendo Switch console, plus 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online. That’s right, it seems like this 2023 version of the deal won’t include an OLED Switch, instead opting for a core, launch edition of the system.

But, there’s more…

Yes, we said “bundles” (with an ‘s’), and we meant it. Aside from the above, there are also twin Switch Lite bundles coming up, which will see the console packed with a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That game will be included with each digitally as well, but unlike with the Mario Kart system, the Switch Lite consoles themselves will be unique.

The systems will be available in either coral or turquoise, and will include Animal Crossing graphics on both front and back.
