Tickets go on sale for the IMAX edition of September’s The Equalizer 3

Actor Denzel Washington’s third turn as TV-turned-movie hero Robert McCall is about to hit IMAX, with The Equalizer 3.

If you’re talking about a big action movie, there’s probably no better way to experience it than in IMAX. And that’s likely the case with The Equalizer 3, the latest action-fest from Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua.

The film finds Washington’s McCall on the wrong end of organized crime, and outside of the US. It also is going to be the final flick in the set, so if you’re fan, what better way to usher out the series than with the biggest film screen imaginable?

Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.
