Ubisoft begins an Assassin’s Creed blitz for the weekend with free plays and discounts

There’s going to be a whole lot of Assassin’s Creed going on this weekend, with an assortment of AC titles going free to try.

Freesassins

Ubisoft is setting up a free weekend of play, and it’s one that’s set to include a wide swath of Assassin’s Creed titles. Series classics like the Ezio trilogy’s Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, will be joined by fan favorite Black Flag and the latest AC, Valhalla, in what’ll be a free weekend of play.

From the sound of it, you’ll be able to play as many of the titles available as you want to, and as much of any of them as you like. The catch of course, is that it’s just for the weekend, with free play starting tomorrow, August 10th, and wrapping up on the 14th.

All in all, that’s a heck of a lot of time that you get to spend with the Assassin’s Creed games of your choice. Plus, if you dig one (or all), then you’ll be in for a discount to buy the full title as well, complete with all of your ‘free time’ progress carrying over to the retail edition. Actually, it’s a little better than that, as the deals aren’t tied to games that you might play during the weekend.

Fans will actually be able to save up to a monster 75% off the usual ticket price of all of the games in the franchise this coming weekend. So if you’ve had your eye on a few games in the AC catalog, this weekend seems like as good of a time to strike as any.

All of the above is set to take place across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms, including both the sales and free trials. Pre-loading has actually started as well, for the latter, so you can download and be ready when the magical day arrives.

And again, that’s tomorrow.
