Return to the dystopian world of New Washington in this new look at Flashback 2

Return to the iconic world of Flashback once again, and discover the dystopia of New Washington, in this fresh trailer for Flashback 2.

A new nightmare

If you remember side-scrolling action title Flashback fondly, strap in. The new sequel is looking flat out incredible, bringing to life a dystopian vision for New Washington’s cyberpunk future.

In the 22nd century, the United Worlds extends throughout the Solar System, but this tranquillity is threatened by the Morph invasion led by the fearsome General Lazarus. In search of his lifelong friend Ian, Conrad B. Hart dives once again into an action-packed adventure full of twists, turns and revelations with the help of his allies and AI-powered weapon A.I.S.H.A.

Microids press release

New Washington is just one of three locales that players will have to navigate in Flashback 2. Their adventures will take them to New Tokyo as well, and even off-world, to the Jungle of Titan. Also, if you’re worried about adherence to the original game’s vision, don’t. Published by Microids, Flashback 2 was designed and developed by the original title’s creator, Paul Cuisset himself.

The Flashback begins again, when Flashback 2 hits Xbox and PlayStation platforms, the Nintendo Switch, and the PC this November the 16th in digital format. There’ll be retail boxed (console) versions as well, for those looking to build out their shelves, landing on December the 5th.
