The latest in the Fast and the Furious series, Fast X is heading to both physical and digital home video formats in August.
Family comes home
A lot of movies have had kind of weird theatrical runs lately, but Fast X wasn’t one of them. The movie is the latest in what’s a hugely successful series, that’s packed with stars and is basically all action and car-chases from beginning to end.
It got a bit of a drubbing critically, but while early looks had fans thinking it’d flounder, it went on to earn almost 3/4 of a billion at the box office. And now the star-studded spectacle is coming home for another run.
Ever since their saga started on the streets of L.A.’s underground racing scene, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have overcome impossible odds to outsmart, out-nerve and outdrive every foe. Yet when the team took down a nefarious kingpin back in Brazil, they had no idea his son Dante (Jason Momoa) was watching from the shadows. More lethal than any other enemy they’ve faced, Dante now rises as a terrifying new nemesis who’s fueled by revenge and determined to shatter their family and destroy everything and everyone that Dom loves. From London and Brazil to Antarctica and Rome, new alliances are forged and old enemies resurface. But everything changes after Dom discovers his eight-year-old son is Dante’s ultimate target.
Universal Pictures press release
Fast X is breaking with recent tradition just a tad as goes the home video launch, as it’ll be arriving both digitally and physically in the same month. Actually landing just about a week apart, the digital launch will be August 1st, with disc-based Fast-action arriving on the 8th.
Both the digital and high-definition disc formats will be busting with extras too, which you can find below. Note that stuff that’s included on the plain old DVD edition (yes, there are a bunch) are marked with an asterisk.
