SDCC 23: Cybertron gets Stranger with new Stranger Things x Transformers figure, Code Red

Somebody order a pizza? No? Well maybe you ordered a Transformer that hails from the Stranger Things universe. That’d be Code Red.

Actually not that strange

Transformers fans know the fun of a crossover pretty well by now, since the robotic Hasbro action figure line has delved into plenty of alternate universes, especially over the last few years. We’ve seen Star Wars of course, plus Top Gun, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic Park too. But now the bots from Cybertron are heading to the Upside-Down.

The mashup will bring in a character called Code Red, who’ll convert into a pizza delivery van from Surfer Boy Pizza. Fans of the Netflix show should know that name pretty well, as the shop played a part in season 4 of the otherworldly adventure show.

As you’ll see in the gallery below too, Code Red isn’t just a great looking figure (which he is). He also has one of the coolest packaging designs in the history of the toy line.

Ready for some take out? Well hang on, because there’s no info just yet on where you’ll be able to find Code Red. Although we kind of think that pizza-box doesn’t seem like a mass market item, you never know. So stay tuned for news on availability.

As for when you’ll find the little Surfer Boy here, we do have some news on that. You can expect to see him out there before the end of the year, with a “late 2023” release window.
