Time to bite back, Redfall hits next week for Xbox and PC

Arkane Austin’s vampire-powered FPS is almost here, bringing plenty of mystic action and gunplay. Check out the latest on Redfall.

Black Hole Sun

Framed by a cover of Soundgarden’s classic Black Hole Sun, is the latest look at developer Arkane Austin’s “unique story-driven FPS” Redfall. It’s a title that’s been maybe a little bit of a mystery, but is looking fantastic here on the eve of launch. That’s a nice surprise, as again we haven’t seen all that much about it as of late.

Look great though, it does, as Redfall mixes FPS action with an apparent deep story that’s steeped in a reinvention of vampire lore. That’d be nice if true, since multiplayer titles tend to be a little light on the narrative.

Then again though, remember that Redfall its aiming to provide both single and multiplay. And it sounds like it’s going to try its best to keep you engaged whichever way you prefer to slay.

Set to an exclusive new cover version of the classic Black Hole Sun, the trailer drags our heroes from old town Massachusetts to psychic underworlds and back again in a flurry of gunshots and special powers. In a world where everyone AND their vampire Gods are out to get you, our heroes need every advantage they can muster.

Zenimax Media press release

Ready to stake some vamps? Redfall is looking towards a May 2nd, 2023 release date, for both the Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s also going to be a part of Game Pass, so you’re good to go for Day 1 if you’re subscribed.
