Take a detailed look at Hot Toys’ new Venom figure in this Sideshow Unboxing

Straight from the latest film starring the symbiotic anti-hero, comes the latest Hot Toys figure. Venom is set to ship soon, and is looking great.

Minus the spider

Whatever you thought of there two Venom movies, you kinda have to admit that the designs are terrific. Venom looks like Venom, and Carnage looked like Carnage. Of course, those great designs make for some great looking action figures too, which we’ve seen already in the form of Carnage. Well, now it’s Venom’s turn, and just like his spawn, he’s looking awesome.

As with Hot Toys’ other Marvel figures, Venom not only sports a spot-on look, but he’s loaded with accessories. Those include alternate head-sculpts, weapons, and attachable tendrils. On top of that too, Venom has a paint job unlike any other Hot Toys figure.

According to the press release (and plainly visible in the video below) he has a sheen that translates to a slimy look. That comes by way of a “black polarized effect”, and the result is looking pretty great.

Here’s a peek:

The Venom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure has a selection of detailed headsculptsincluding a Venomized Eddie Brock head, a grinning head, a head with a fanged mouth, and three interchangeable protruding tongues. Venom also comes with an array of interchangeable symbiote weapons and accessories including a sickle, a rod, and a variety of attachable, poseable tentacles.

Sideshow Toys press release

Venom is still up for pre-order by way of Sideshow, and is expected to ship some time this month through June. He’s priced in at $440 USD.
