Evercade adds another classic, with an upcoming Amiga games collection

It’s been quite a few years for Evercade, with both new consles and loads of big-time retro names being added to its library. Now you can add one more.

Amiga-cade

Do you have an Evercade? If you don’t and you’re a retro fan, then you might want to take a long look at one of Blaze Entertainment’s consoles. Owners can pick from a huge library of ‘collected edition’ cartridges, each typically loaded with a nice selection of games. That’s a set of titles that includes games from the likes of Bandai Namco, Capcom, Irem, C64, and now Amiga.

The publisher has revealed that an Amiga cart is indeed on the way, published by Team17. The first offering under the Amiga banner, the cart will include 10 games including Alien Breed, Body Blows, and more.

Here’s a look:

  • Alien Breed Special Edition ‘92
  • Alien Breed II
  • Alien Breed Tower Assault
  • Arcade Pool
  • ATR: All Terrain Racing
  • Body Blows
  • Full Contact
  • Kingpin: Arcade Sports Series Bowling
  • Project X: Special Edition ‘93
  • Qwak

As with almost all other games that make use of the Evercade family of consoles, Team 17 Collection 1 (that’s the official title) is playable on both of the company’s handhelds and its home unit. All of the above will need to be running the 3.0.X firmware however.

Look for Team17 Collection 1 to hit retail on May 31st, 2023, with pre-orders opening this Friday (the 17th).

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
