Expect a different Bat-family in Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham

An Elseworlds tale, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham presents an alt-universe horror tale set in the 20’s, and with an altered Bat-family.

Tawde?

We’ve already seen some heavy alterations to the Bat-mythos, thanks to the Elseworlds story that is The Doom That Came to Gotham. But there are some pretty interesting changes in store for Batman’s surrogate family as well.

The horror-tinged tale takes place in an alternate version of 1920’s Gotham City, infused with some hefty Lovecraftian overtones. And with that, comes the likes of Sanjay “Jay” Tawde and Kai Li Cain. Or, as you probably best know them, Jason Todd and Cassandra Cain.

But it’s not just those two Batman allies that get a makeover, as both Oliver Queen and Oracle will too. And in the case of Barbara Gordon’s alter ego, it seems it’s a bit more supernatural than she’s ever been.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham hits Digital, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Blu-ray formats on March 28, 2023.
