Post-launch update for Gungrave G.O.R.E adds in new visual mode, more

Been blasting waves of creeps and mechanized baddies in Gungrave G.O.R.E? Then you might wanna grab the new update and mix things up.

A new shade of gunplay

Launching just a few weeks ago, IGGYMOB and Prime Matter’s Gungrave G.O.R.E sought to bring the anime series back to the video game realm. If you played the adaptation from the PS2 era, then you already have a good idea of what the new game entails.

Gungrave G.O.R.E plays much the same as that original, tossing wave after wave of enemies at players, as they make their way through its third-person style levels. Oh, and of course there’s plenty of wild, off the wall gunplay. Grave can do just about anything you can think of doing with a hand-cannon, including just standing there and firing in all directions, hitting everybody.

But if you’ve been looking to shake things up, you’re in luck. Or, actually I guess it’d be better put to say ‘if you feel like taking things back to that previously mentioned era’ you’re in luck. And that’s because the new free update adds in a cel-shaded mode.

But that’s not all, as the update also updates Grave with some new idle animations, new “demolition” shots, and “tweaks” to some 25 gameplay systems. So yeah, there’s lot to it.

“We have improved on the balancing using feedback from players so they can enjoy the game more comfortably and in a more approachable way,” said Kim Darhoon, producer, Gungrave G.O.R.E. “I hope with the latest improvements that everyone enjoys Gungrave G.O.R.E even more and looks forward to future updates.”

The update should be out right now for all versions of Gungrave G.O.R.E.
