Things are getting mighty weird in Hawkins, Indiana in Dark Horse Comics new series. Not that that’s anything new for the Stranger Things town.
Stranger still
With the last season of Stranger things done, and at least one more on the horizon, we’re in a little bit of a ‘weird’ valley. And if you’ve been craving more of what the Netflix show deals out to its viewers, you might want to check out what Dark Horse Comics is cooking up.
The publisher has a brand new series on the way, and it’s looking like it might have the scares and general weirdness fans crave. Plus, if you’re looking for varied content, it’s going to be tough to beat.
And anthology, Stranger Things: Tales from Hawkins comes from writer Jody Houser and a cadre of artists. Included are Stranger Things vet Caio Filipe, Sunando C, and Giorgia Gio Esposito. They’ll be joined by colorist Dan Jackson and letterer Nate Piekos for the series.
On the surface, Hawkins, Indiana seems like the kind of town where nothing too out of the ordinary ever happens, but in the fall of ’83 it is anything but safe. In Issue #1 of Tales from Hawkins, two friends head out into the woods with their rifles and a six-pack. These would-be hunters find themselves the prey of a nightmarish beast who has claimed the wilderness around town and everything inside it, including them.
