Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Ultimate Edition blasting onto current-gen consoles this month

The first real aRPG to take place in the 40K universe, Neocoregames’ terrific Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor is getting an Ultimate Edition this month.

Nobody expects the Inquisition

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr was pretty terrific action RPG. The game was the first such title to take place in Games Workshop’s time-tested Warhammer 40K universe. It brought some of that tabletop game’s best-loved races and locations to life… and set players about destroying all of it. “Purge the xenos” and all that.

Anyway, the game has been around for a while at this point, appearing on consoles and the PC, and getting a ton of DLC and additions. So with all of that, it’s probably about time for an Ultimate Edition.

That will come by way of publisher NACON for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Neocoregames itself for the game’s home platform of the PC. As for what you can expect from it, the title will be enhanced a good bit, and feature all 25+ downloadable content packs released to date.

New features include:

  • Native 4k support
  • Higher resolution textures
  • Improved physics
  • Cross-gen multiplayer modes
  • Fully utilizing DualSense controller on PlayStation 5

And on top of all of that, don’t forget that the Sororitas Class is coming too. An Inquisitor with a Sisters of Battle background will be coming for all versions of Inquisitor – Martyr, though that’ll be at a later date. And it sounds like she will be an add-on, not included in even the Ultimate Edition.

Watch for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Ultimate Edition to hit the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 this month, on October 27th.
