Xbox Games with Gold adds Saints Row 2, ScourgeBringer, and more

It’s a not-awful month for Xbox Live subscribers as go free games this month, as the service adds Saints Row 2, ScourgeBringer, Monaco and more.

It’s a ‘Saints Row’ kinda month

If you don’t know, Saints Row launches this month. Yeah, it’s been somewhat disparaged by fans, but the hard-reboot of the series isn’t looking bad. If you can’t get past the new flavor though, and you’re in the mood for a little SR, then you might want to replay a classic. Xbox Live has you covered there, with Saints Row 2.

Maybe the most beloved of the legacy Saints Row games, SR2 was arguably the series at its best. It had plenty of action and missions to partake in, but didn’t include the extreme silliness (or sci-fi elements) of parts 3 and 4. Personally, I loved both of those latter releases, but that’s besides the point.

Other than SR2, there’s also the crime-caper title Monaco this month, plus action roguelike ScourgeBringer and Calico. Dates for the freebies are below.
