SDCC 22: Go, go (to Comic Con) Godzilla!

Oh no, they say he’s got to go… to San Diego! Yes, Godzilla will be at Comic Con this week, with both a Toho panel and plenty of merch to take home.

There goes Tokyo

A legendary (pardon the pun) name in the realm of monster movies, Godzilla is just about as popular as he’s ever been. The giant monster has a successful series of big-budget films rolling, as well as countless pieces of merchandise and action figures that seem to hit the market every other day. Godzilla, for lack of a better term, is big time. And as you can see from the headline here, he’s heading back to SDCC this week.

Toho International will be hosting a pretty wide-ranging panel presentation, featuring guests from the realms of action figures, comics, and even pinball. “Up From the Depths” will be happening this Thursday at the convention center

Other than the panel, there is a ton of cool Godzilla stuff for fans to take home, and also to order from home. Yes, while a good chunk of the goodies are set to be at the Con, you can order a bunch of it online as well. So even if you won’t be at the big show, you can take a piece of it home.

Here’s what to expect and where to get it:

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
