The biggest Super Mario LEGO set yet, Bowser is coming this fall

Behold The Mighty Bowser! Mario’s long-time adversary and arch-enemy, Bowser is the biggest Nintendo offering yet from LEGO.

Remember King Koopa?

Since the first days of Mario’s standalone titles, he’s been plagued by the reptilian Bowser. A monster of a villain, Bowser is always after the throne of the Mushroom Kingdom, and routinely kidnaps Princess Peach to get it.

LEGOs latest Nintendo-themed set reflects the might and majesty of the villain… before Mario knocks him off a bridge of course. Nevertheless, it’s an impressive set, and the biggest yet in LEGOs new collection.

Actually, The Mighty Bowser here also represents another first for the partnership in that he’s poseable. That’s right, once completed Bowser can be posed in a few different ways on your shelf. The figure will house a “button” that will control his “head and neck movements”. And on top of that, Bowser’s mouth, arms, legs, and tail will also boast articulation.

Aside from the passive display options, he’ll also have a “fireball launcher” built-in. But the launcher isn’t just to lob projectiles around the room, as it’ll be interactive too. According to Nintendo, you can actually hook Bowser up to a LEGO Super Mario Starter Course, and have him be the end-boss. Again though, watch out for those fireballs.

The Mighty Bowser is set to hit retail for $269.99 USD, and be available from October 1st, 2022.
