One week of free multiplayer access kicks off today for Call of Duty: Vanguard

Have you somehow managed to avoid taking the plunge into Activision’s latest Call of Duty title? Well now you have no excuse. It’s a free week.

Just the multi

There’s no secret to the main draw of Call of Duty. That, of course, is the multiplayer. There’s no doubt that Activision and its various houses have tried pretty hard (and to some great effect at times) to craft compelling narratives for Call of Duty titles. But nevertheless, it’s almost always the multiplayer action that keeps players coming back.

That’s true for the last game in the set as well, Call of Duty: Vanguard. Released last fall, Vanguard took the action back to WWII once again, for a campaign that got mixed reactions from long time fans. The multiplayer though, seemed to be just as good as always. And that’s the subject of what will be a free week of play, starting today.

Activision has announced that a “Multiplayer free access week” starts today, and will run through to the 24th. This is everything too, so you won’t find yourself locked out of any modes. According to the company, the free period grants “players access to all maps and modes, including the new Season Three Mayhem Multiplayer map, Arms Race, Ship Haus and more.”

You can check out Activision’s blog for more, and to dive a little deeper into what you can do with this free week. Otherwise though, get to it. That game isn’t playing itself, you know.
