Check out the Sonic movie sequel in action, as tickets go on sale

Tickets are on sale now for a special fan screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but that’s not all. There’s also a new trailer, and a brand new poster.

Going fast again

Paramount Pictures has released a brand new look at its Sonic the Hedgehog movie sequel. It’s a look that’s packed with even more content from the games, including a little Chaos-fueled action.

But maybe even cooler, there’s that poster. Modeled after the original Sonic 2 video game cover, the poster is immediately recognizable for fans. The attention to detail that Paramount is giving this series is pretty impressive.

Yes, there are copious amounts of stuff that was never seen in the games. But overall the look and feel of the now-series is pretty great to see, from a fan’s perspective.

Here’s the latest look at Sonic 2 in action:

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. From the filmmakers behind The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.

Get your tickets now

While all of the above is great, it’s the actual film that fans are dying to check out. That’s coming up fast too, with an April 8th, 2022 launch. But you won’t have to wait quite that long to see it, if you’re quick.

Paramount will be selling an allotment of “Fan Event Early Access Screening” tickets. That special advanced viewing will be on the 6th, at 6pm local times, and won’t be held in just any theater. So click here to check if any of your locals will be carrying it.

If you can get tickets, you’re in for a little something extra too, as there will be gifts for all attendees.

Each fan attending the event will receive an exclusive, limited edition Collector’s Print designed by artist Tyson Hesse, best known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise; and a limited-edition comic book reprinted with cinema-exclusive cover art illustrated by Nathalie Fourdraine, an illustrator and animation concept artist who contributes to the IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.
