Coming Up: The games of August 2021

A decent amount of notables highlight what’s a kind of surprising August, as we work our way out of summertime and into the upcoming big release season.

Early window

So, are we starting early this year? It kind of feels like that, since there are a bunch of pretty big names landing on consoles and the PC here in August 2021. Not that August is ever a complete dearth, but this year has more going for it than usual.

Need proof of that? Well, how about No More Heroes 3, Psychonauts 2, Aiens: Fireteam Elite, and the yearly Madden? Getting the point? Yep, the industry is picking up steam a tad early. That might be due to this Holiday being a packed one, but it’s nice to see in any event.
