A hit on the Epic Games Store, A Total War Saga: Troy is heading to retail. Well, in some markets anyway. The announcement was made by Sega Europe.
It’s Total War!
As a strategy series on the PC, Total War has been around for a long time at this point. Sega and developer Creative Assembly’s most recent release was a little different than the usual Total War titles, and came in the form of A Total War Saga: Troy.
The game broke with tradition in a few ways, including how it launched. Namely, that’s because it was free for the first 24 hours. And I don’t mean it was free for 24 hours. I mean it was free to add to your Epic Games Store library permanently.
With that promo long gone though, Troy is still rolling along, and is now getting something else that you don’t see every day in this age – a boxed edition. Just announced, it seems as though the retail version of the game will be a European exclusive, since it was announced by Sega Europe.
If you’re in that territory, you’re in for a treat though. The physical edition of Troy includes a steelbook, as well as the Amazons DLC pack. That, if you don’t know, includes “warrior queen Penthesilea and her sister Hippolyta to the Bronze Age battle, along with new Epic Missions, cavalry units, unique faction mechanics and much more.”
Expect to see A Total War Saga: Troy boxed up and on shelves as of November 5th.
