August looks to be a big month for Games with Gold. Xbox Gold Members will receive the following games free through the Games with Gold program: Gears of War 4, Forza Motorsports 6, Torchlight, and Castlevania: Lord of the Shadows.
Gears of War 4 and Torchlight
Starting August 1st, Xbox Gold Members will be able to download Gears of War 4, from The Coalition. The fourth iteration in the epic series in Gears of War, we see the story of Marcus Fenix’s son, JD Fenix. This game takes place 25 years after, spoiler alert, Marcus defeated all the Locust. As you can imagine, the planet of Sera is a much different place and while JD is busying fighting robots, a new evil is lurking underground. Make sure to pick up Gears 4 before the launch of Gears 5, later this year.
The second game available starting on August 1st, is Torchlight. This isometric game is similar to Diablo, where people will hack and slash their way through dungeons trying to acquire more loot. So make sure to bust out your weapons and go adventuring for treasure.
Forza Motorsports 6 And Castlevania: Lord of the Shadows
Starting on August 16th, Forza Motorsports 6 will be available for the Xbox One. Another racing title from the team at Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft Studios, get ready to hop into the seat and drive in excess of 100 miles per hour.
Last, but not least, comes Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. Konami decided that there were enough 2D Castlevania games and developed this 3D adventure. Play as Gabriel Belmont as he tried to unlock the secrets of the Lord of Shadows.
