One of the Metal, dark-multiverse Batmen is getting the Funko Pop! treatment. The Red Death is coming to comics and specialty stores.
Speeding nightmare
Released last year, DC’s Metal was a highly praised miniseries/event book. The story focused on a monstrous demon called Barbatos who unleashed the power of a “dark-multiverse”. A set of universes previously unseen, the DM only existed to play out events that ‘should not have happened’. Needless to say, the denizens of said universes are not very nice.
One of them, recruited by the Batman Who Laughs (an amalgamation of Batman and Joker), is The Red Death.
On Earth-52, Batman has been driven to desperation and forcibly fuses himself with the Flash to gain the powers of the Speed Force. This, along with Batman’s newfound killer instinct combines to create a whole new fearsome villain, Batman: the Red Death!

As you can see, the Pop! version of The Red Death is pretty awesome. Done in a metallic red, he looks to be a standout for the line. You’ll be able to find him only in comic and specialty stores, since he’s a Previews magazine exclusive.
As to when he’ll be speeding into stores, that’d be June the 26th. So if you want one, now’d be the time to ask your local comics shop about securing a pre-order.
