DC Universe launching on Xbox One this month

You’ll soon be able to watch all of DC Universe’s original shows on your Xbox One. DC has announced that the service will get an app this month.

Comics on the TV?

DC Universe has been around for a little while, and while the service itself has hit a few bumps, the original programming seema quite good. That is a slate that includes the likes of Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice and now Swamp Thing, with more on the way.

And now you can watch all of that content through your Xbox One. DC has announced that the service will receive an app that’s set to debut next week.

“Since we launched DC UNIVERSE last fall we’ve been on a mission to expand our reach on new platforms. Fans asked for access to the ultimate DC membership on their Xbox One consoles and we are excited to deliver DC UNIVERSE to them starting next week. Our growing list of highly acclaimed original series, amazing library shows and thousands of comics are now accessible to DC fans and Xbox users alike,”  said Sam Ades, senior vice president and general manager, DC Digital Services.

DC Comics press release

The app is free, though the service (of course) is not. DC Universe runs $7.99 per month, or $74.99 for the year.
