Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 arrives on Switch this July

We finally learned the release date for the Switch exclusive Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 today, and got a look at the superhero-packed cover art.

Third alliance

A fantastic surprise, Marvel Ultimate Alliance is back. The series is now a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but otherwise looks like the MUA that we all know and love.

MUA3 is loaded up with Marvel superheroes, from Spider-Man and Daredevil to X-Men like Wolverine and Storm. It’s epic campaign will see players taking on Thanos and his Black Order.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order brings gamers and Marvel fans together in a new action RPG exclusive to Nintendo Switch,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With a huge cast of Super Heroes to choose from, assembling your ultimate team, strategically combining skills to unleash powerful attacks and preventing galactic devastation with friends has never been more fun or immersive.”

Nintendo press release

You’ll be able to play with up to 4 friends in the game. Each player will control a different hero in either online or offline co-op. Yes, you can couch-co-op 4 players. Apparently you can drop in or out at any time too. That’s always nice.

While there’s no full roster reveal yet, we do have a release date. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is hitting this July the 19th.
