Complete with 2 player co-op, classic arcade action is returning to the Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita. Red Art Games’ Riddled Corpses EX lands in February.

As you might’ve guessed from the title, Riddled Corpses EX is a zombie shooter. What sets it apart from all the others though, is that this one is decidedly retro in style. And actually, in gameplay too.
When’s the last time you played a twin-stick shooter? That’s just what Riddled Corpses EX is set to deliver, meaning twin-stick action, when it arrives on consoles this year.
From developer Red Art Games, RCEX is set to offer 6 different playable characters, each with their own abilities. You’ll also find a combo system in place, which is very interesting, and 2 player “local” co-op.
There’ll be plenty of action for both players too, since the game is set to deliver arcade, story, and survival modes. Those will all play out in “8-16bit” style too, finishing off the retro gaming experience. And yes, that’s complete with chiptune musical accompaniment.
Riddled Corpses EX is currently set for a February 4th release on the PS4, Xbox One… and PS Vita. Oddly enough, there’s no Switch launch mentioned in the press release. Cross your fingers for one eventually though, since this looks like a perfect fit for the indie scene on Nintendo’s platform.
