Nintendo fans will want to check out the stream of this Tuesday’s Direct presentation. The company has announced it’s all Nindies.
Nindie, Nindie, Nindie
Can’t beat those Nindies! Or, as anyone sane might call them – indies. Nindie is just Nintendo’s cute way of re-framing independently published games that appear on its consoles. So Dead Cells is an indie on every other platform, but a “Nindie” on the Switch.
While the name is admittedly dopey, there’ve been a ton of great Nindies on Switch this year. Dead Cells is just one example of the quality stuff that’s been appearing on the system.
So it might actually be cooler that this Tuesday’s show will be focusing on these gems than, say, triple-A projects. The stuff that we’re about to see this coming week will probably be here a heck of a lot sooner than something like a Metroid Prime 4, for instance (that’s still coming though… right Nintendo?).
As to which games we’ll be getting a peek at, that’s still a mystery. Nintendo keeps Direct stuff pretty tightly under wraps till showtime, and this one’s no exception. So we’ll al be finding out which games will be on display come this Tuesday, August 28th. Hit that play button at 9am pacific time for the full scoop.
