Another Zelda tome set to join Dark Horse’s line with Breath of the Wild art book

Did you really think that Dark Horse Comics wound’t be putting out a Breath of the Wild art book? Well, if you did, you were wrong. The publisher will be producing a book on the latest Legend of Zelda adventure that’ll be hitting this fall.

Legendary books

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, and The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia are three volumes that belong in any Zelda fan’s library. The Dark Horse produced books are absolutely packed. The three are loaded with information and art from the Nintendo series, and are tons of fun.

This new book, will be right at home with the others in the line. An “oversized hardcover”, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild—Creating a Champion will clock in at a whopping 424 pages. Fifty of those pages will bear “official illustrations from Takumi Wada” too, so there’ll be plenty to gawk at.

Past that, there’s also a 55-page historical section. That will tell the story of Hyrule, “as it’s known in the game” (Breath of the Wild). That’s pretty interesting, particularly that last bit. We know the history of all three Hyrule alternate timelines already, thanks to Hyrule Hystoria. So what could be different this time around? Something tells me it has to do with that last bit, “as it’s known in the game”.

If all that’s not enough for you, then you might be interested in the interviews section. There you’ll find chats with the likes of Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Satoru Takizawa, Takumi Wada, and Eiji Aonuma. Lots to like here, including the cover by one Takumi Wada.

Oh, also very likable? The price. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild—Creating a Champion will run you just $39.99 USD when it arrives on November the 20th.
