Mutant Football League now lining up on consoles

Ready to return to the gridiron? Mutant Football League is now available for the PS4 and Xbox One. Check out the launch trailer and get reacquainted.

Hard hitting

Bloody, brutal, and very over the top, Mutant Football League has been a pretty hotly anticipated rebirth. The game basically reinvents the 16bit classic, with more than a little Blood Bowl thrown in.

The title is hanging its hat on being very accessible, but at the same time being as fan friendly as it gets. More or less, I think that translates to being easy to play, but also as blood-soaked as possible. And maybe more than a little “cheesy”.

Lending some cheese is Tim Kitzrow too. Remember that name? You probably should since he was the announcer on NBA Jam. He’s doing the vocal work here, calling all the plays (and beatings) on the field)

Yep, this could be a very fun one indeed.

“Thanks to our community and a stellar dev team you can now play MFL on console – where it belongs! This game delivers a new experience of fun, arcade style football action for a new generation of gamers, while retaining the spirit of the original game,” said Michael Mendheim, Creative Director.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
