This one’s pivotal people. No really, I’m serious. If you’re an X-Men fan, then this is one crossover that could be a pivotal one in the history of the mutant portion of the Marvel U. I had assumed that that would mean that the X-Men would be making an exit, but not anymore.
It did seem that way though, as the X-Men in general haven’t been all that big of a part of things in recent years. Even when a crossover focused on them, like AvX, they kind of came off as villains. And then when the mutant-killing Terrigen Mists encircled the globe? Well I kind of thought that was the end for X. But not so.
With the revelation of the ResurrXion event coming in 2017, it actually looks as though the X-Men are coming back in a very big way. And for that reason alone, IvX becomes an even bigger crossover. X-fans should be paying attention to this one.
