Reminder: Halloween ComicFest is tomorrow

A celebration of all things Halloween and comic books, Halloween ComicFest is tomorrow.

Halloween ComicFest is here

Oh it’s time once again my friends. Time for some free comic books. While you might think that Free Comic Book Day is the only day on the calendar that allows fans to grab free books at their local comic shop, you’d be wrong. Halloween ComicFest has every bit  of that, and more. After all, it’s not like you can enter a costume contest on FCBD.

The event has been around for five years now, and is only building steam. The biggest publishers in the game are in on this one, like DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and IDW Publishing. And their not alone either, as even smaller companies like Space Goat Productions is joining the fun with a special issue of Evil Dead 2: Beyond Dead by Dawn.

You can pick up any of the comics that were featured in the video above at your LCS, and also buy some packs to give away on Monday. Many stores will be stocking packs of mini-comics, with the idea that you can hand them out on Halloween instead of candy. That works in a few ways, including for kids who might be allergic to certain kinds of sweets.

Then there’s the contests. The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever will be raging, as it has been every year. It’s super easy to enter too, since all you have to do is take a snapshot of you with a Halloween ComicFest book, and be in costume while you do it. Pretty simple, and you could win some awesome prizes like stuff from companies like Funko and Scholastic or a $500 shopping spree at your local comic shop.
