SDCC 2016: Udon pins Street Fighter to Comic Con

A pin-tactic selection of exclusives is on the way to Comic Con International next week, courtesy of Udon.

Typically known for creating some of the coolest video game-based comics and art books out there, the folks at Udon have something totally different planned for SDCC. The exclusive offerings from the company, just unveiled, will be… pin sets.

As you might image though, these are some pretty awesome pins.

“We have done some collectible items in the past, like the Street Fighter busts,” said Erik Ko, UDON’s chief of operations. “That’s not a coincidence; I was heavily involved in product development before UDON, and I have always been itching to make products again. I think now is the perfect time to pursue this venture and provide fans with some really cool stuff to collect!”

And so, with that in mind, we get this year’s exclusives. A blind-boxed set of pins hits the lower price point, with a freaking awesome sounding framed collection going the premium route. The official rundown is as follows:

• Super Street Fighter II Turbo Character Select Mystery Pin CollectionAvailable exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, these limited edition collector’s cloisonné pins are made of high quality hard enamel and are sure to please discerning pin collectors everywhere. The set includes 16 regular pins, limited to 375 each, based on the portraits of everyone’s favorite World Warriors as seen on the character selection screen in the Super Street Fighter II Turbo game. The pins come in blind boxes priced at $20 each, with two random pins per package, and each pin is 1.5×1.5” in size.
