According to an uncovered icon and title from deep within Nintendo’s network, there might be an HD remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess coming soon.
I don’t know why I find this odd, but it looks like Nintendo is seriously about to reveal the existence of a Twilight Princess remake. I guess I just never thought of Twilight as one of the more popular Zelda titles, which it’d have to be I assume to make it into the revamp arena. And yet here we are and it looks like just that is happening.
So here’s the long and the short: fans have dug up an icon for the game in the Wii U’s eShop and spotted a title that reads ‘Twilight Princess HD’ on the digital storefront. I’m going to say that there’s no way any of that would be there if the game wasn’t on the way. Website MCV also points out that Nintendo has, in the past, talked about the possibility of doing not only a Twilight Princess remaster, but also a Skyward Sword one, so you never know what’s on the horizon or when it might be coming to the console.
The Wii U is on the way out though, which should be noted here, as it’s set to be effectively replaced by what’s being called the Nintendo NX, which’ll be revealed next year. So, bottom line, I’d bet on this one appearing sooner than later. Stay tuned.
