Rainbow 6 Siege officially knocking down doors on console and PC this Fall

The latest game in the Rainbow 6 series has a focus squarely on multiplayer, is one of the best looking entries in the franchise to date, and it’ll be on store shelves before Halloween.

That’s some good looking stuff right there, and it’s been so long since the last R6 release that fans are probably more than ready for a little breach and clear action. Not to be confused with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 though, Siege is all about working together as a team with your buddies… or complete strangers.

The game focuses on multiplayer, similarly to the original titles in the franchises history, games that birthed a rabid fanbase. If you’re one of those by the way, then you might be interested in one of the special editions of the upcoming game that Ubi announced along with the release date.

Hitting stores this October the 13th for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. So far, it looks like all 3 editions of the game will be sold globally, but the PC will see the release of the ‘Gold Edition’ only, which is a little disappointing, but hardly unexpected since the other versions are boxed and include a bunch of goodies. That kind of flies in the face of the ‘digital only’ playground that the PC has basically become.

Anyway, here’s your rundown of what’s in all three:

  • The Art of Siege Edition, available for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege, includes the full game, a collector’s box, a Gold Skins Pack for all in-game weapons and an exclusive 120 page Tactical Guide. This high quality guide includes every single key element of the game – detailing each Counter Terrorist Unit, Operators, weapons, and maps with the highest level of detail and statistics. All this content has been created with the development team and core gamers’ advice, giving you the most effective results in the field.
  • The Gold Edition which includes the Standard Edition and the Season Pass*.
  • The Tactical Elite Edition, a very limited edition available exclusively on the Uplay Shop that will include both Art of Siege Edition and Season Pass.
