The latest Space Hulk game is looking glorious

Behold the glory of the Emperor, as a Terminator squad make their way through an army of genestealers in Space Hulk: Deathwing.

Looks good huh? Best part, that’s not a cinematic. Everything in the above trailer was from in-game footage, just presumably played with a little to give it the slow motion effects. And since that’s the case, I think it’s pretty safe to say that StreumOn Studio has pretty much made the best looking Space Hulk title ever. Definitely the best Space Hulk shooter ever.

The developer says that they’ve taken their time with this one too, paying attention to just about every detail that they could to make the end experience as close to the Games Workshop tabletop games as possible. As a fan myself, II have to say I’m cautiously optimistic on this one. I really liked the PC original (though that game is antiquated by today’s standards) and I played the heck out of the 3DO version as well, but this one looks like it might have the action level that every other Space Hulk title has lacked, and I can’t wait to play it.

No release date yet, but Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to hit the PC and consoles.
