Cheap zombies are marching on comiXology as The Walking Dead is on sale

ComiXology is offering up some zombie-comic reading for more than 50% off.

What better time to have a sale on one of the most mature and fear-filled comics out there than just before Halloween? ComiXology has a good chunk of the run of Image Comics and Skybound’s The Walking Dead on sale right now through the 13th of this month and the price tags are anything but scary.

The first 126 issues of the monthly comic are on sale for just .99 cents each which, if you know the cost of a comic these days, is pretty terrific. You’ll also find a bunch of collections of the books on sale via comiXology, and the issue 1-50 and 51-100 sets are only $39.99 USD too, which comes to be a savings of $50.00 USD off the asking price of each. That’s more than a solid sale and, if you’ve never taken the time to pick up the comic that started the craze and kicked off the TV show, it’s well worth your time- particularly if you are a fan of that show and haven’t read the books as of yet.

“ComiXology is giving new and die-hard The Walking Dead fans worldwide a chance to experience my original vision from the very first issue,” said Robert Kirkman, creator and writer of The Walking Dead and writer/Executive Producer of The Walking Dead AMC TV show. “These discounted issues, collections and bundles make it easy for new-comers to The Walking Dead comic to jump in headlong, especially with comiXology’s awesome reading experience!”

“Fans of The Walking Dead TV show: we challenge you to try out the epic comic series during this amazing sales event,” said comiXology co-founder and CEO, David Steinberger. “With more than 120 issues, more than 20 collections and 2 super-sized bundles to get you started on the epic saga of The Walking Dead comic series, this sale is a not-to-be-missed event.”
