Metro Redux now available on next-gen consoles and PC

Deep Silver’s remake of Metro 2033 and Last Light is now available, get your rad suits ready.

One of my flat out favorite shooter series’ on last-gen boxes, Deep Silver and 4A Games’ Metro gets the remake/re-release treatment today with this tidy little dual release pack. The retail edition of Metro Redux includes both 2033 and Last Light and has some very lice graphic overhauls on both titles.

You’ll also find all of the DLC, new voice work, redone enemy AI, and more in the box. Even with all that, the big draws for me are the new ‘difficulty modes’ though. You can make Last Light more like the resource-conserving 2o33 with Survival mode, or make 2033 more like the action-oriented Last Light with Spartan mode. This really gives the player the means to tailor the games to their own preferences and personally, I can’t wait to dive back into 2033 with Spartan switched on.

Of course, you can also go all-out with the hardcore Ranger mode and really get a challenge if you so desire. All in all, it’s a lot for your buck, especially if you skipped over these two gems the first time around. About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
