Blood Bowl kicks off on iOS and Android this month

Games Workshop’s fantasy-football title hikes itself on over to tablets.

Well this is a nice surprise. Blood Bowl II is currently on the way to PC’s, developer Cyanide will also be bringing their take not eh tabletop game to Android and iOS-powered tablets. As mobile versions of games go, this one’s pretty full-featured too.

Blood Bowl features six teams to choose from; Humans, Orcs, Dwarfs, Skaven, Wood Elves and Chaos. Each one will have “strengths, weaknesses and numerous opportunities to develop” too, so you can definitely build up your own squad to suit your play style and tastes. Both single game and campaign modes are present, as well as a multiplayer mode where you can either trade time on a single table (‘hot seat’ style) or engage in a full on online career where you’ll find a “massive permanent league” to play in.

And that’s not just play online by the way, as you can both create and develop a team specifically in this mode, as well as play against other gamers on any of the title’s supported platforms- even the PC. Pretty neat that.

Forget about training camp, Blood Bowl kicks off on iOS and Android in the next few weeks.
