Van Helsing II reveals the Chimera

Behold the beast in the lair (and one monstrous ally); the Chimera is unveiled in the latest The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II trailer.

Now that’s a watch dog. Van Helsing’s Chimera is no mere whelp either. The creature can be summoned during battle from out of the Ink, the mysterious realm just beyond the borders of the real world, but there’s a twist because you can also send the beast back into the Ink. Why would you want to do that? To retrieve gold, potions, enchanted objects and more of course.

If you keep him fed properly, seriously- you need to feed him essence, the Chimera can also gain xp and evolve. Summoning him through your chamber in the Lair, you can enhance his strength and even his abilities to find cool stuff for you in the Ink.

This is just one of the first reveals for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, which NeoCoreGames hopes to have on the Mac and PC some time this year. For more on it, check out the evolving dev blog here.
