Batman: Arkham Origins TV spot chronicles life of Bruce Wayne

No gameplay in this one, but there’s a lot to like thematically if you’re a Batman fan from the latest look at Warner Bros upcoming Arkham prequel.

The ad actually won’t start running till October 19th, which is just a few days before the game goes on sale, but it’s a very well put together look at the history of the man behind the mask.

Batman: Arkham Origins takes place before the city of Gotham becomes the den of supercriminal insanity that it is in the traditional DC Comics timeline, so Batman is younger and less refined than we saw him in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The ad is actually a pretty nest way to show that evolution from the standpoint of Wayne as he matures to become the only man fighting against the tide of villainy in the city.

Batman: Arkham Origins debuts on October 25th for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC. The portable version of the game (which is a separate story) will also hit the Vita and the 3DS on the 25th with Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate and a free-to-play mobile edition is available right now on iOS devices.
