Star Wars Pinball gets new trailer and release date

Get ready for one of the coolest tables to ever hit the Zen Pinball platform with the trailer for the Starfighter Assault table.

The biggest Star Wars space battles come to life on the Star Wars™: Starfighter Assault pinball table, releasing in two weeks for the new Star Wars™ Pinball: Balance of the Force pack. Players must choose to support the Rebel Alliance’s Fleet or the Galactic Empire’s Armada as they complete missions while dodging turret fire and destructible ramps!

As missions are completed, players will earn Fleet Upgrades that can be spent to upgrade the fleet, fighters and turrets. In addition, players will be able to advance the rank of their pilot as they progress through the table!

The table includes legendary Starfighters like the X-wing and TIE fighter, along with iconic vessels like the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star II.

Okay, so that’s awesome. The starfighter battles were basically my favorite parts of the classic trilogy and this is one big table of win as far as I’m concerned. You’ve got X-Wings, TIE’s, Star Destroyers, battles raging across the table as you play… for a Star Wars fan, it’s awesome.

For the release news, we’ve got a little bit of a staged launch with the PSN version of Star Wars Pinball dropping out of lightspeed on October 15th in North America. The European version will hit on the 16th though, along with the Xbox Live, Steam, Windows 8, iOS, Google Play and Kindle editions.

As for the Wii U and Mac App Store versions, those have been delayed. There’s no release date as of yet either, but we’ll have it for you as soon as it comes across.
