Painkiller HD now available on Xbox Live

The Xbox Live Marketplace gets a does of Hell and Damnation as the revamped Painkiller hits the download service today.

Nordic Games and The Farm 51’s reinvention of the old school shooter Painkiller rolls onto Xbox Live with the release of Painkiller HD. The game features heaven’t hitman once again as Daniel Garner must blast his way through the legions of hell to finally escape purgatory once and for all- and be reunited with his wife.

If you’ve never played a Painkiller title before, here’s what you have to know- there are legions of enemies thrown at you from every which way and the gunplay is fast, simple and fun. Painkiller HD might look like a modern shooter, with some very pretty visuals, but it’s as classic as FPS’ get at its core.
