Valiant Comics unleashes the Unity #1 trailer

Follow X-O Manowar’s evolution from warrior to slave to conqueror in the new motion trailer for Valiant’s upcoming team-up book.

To kill a king…he has created an army. The world’s most dangerous man, Toyo Harada, has been struck by the one thing he never thought possible – fear. Halfway across the globe, a new power threatens to topple modern civilization and, to preempt the cataclysm that is to come, Harada will unite the most unforgiving team the world has ever known – UNITY. Their mission: defeat the threat responsible for the destruction of MI-6, the decimation of an alien world, and the occupation of Eastern Europe… Unseat the warrior king armed with the universe’s most powerful weapon… Kill X-O Manowar!

Harada’s a villain, there’s no doubt about that. But he’s of the ‘I’m doing this for the good of the world’ type. It’ll be very interesting to see his interaction with his new ‘teammates’ and also with X-O. Maybe the two most powerful members of the Valiant Universe, one of them has a big time weakness in that Harada is terrified of what Aric (X-O) can do. We’ll have to see just how that affects Harada’s mission, which is to take X-O out for good.

Unity #1 arrives on store shelves on November 13th from Matt Kindt and Doug Braithwaite with variant covers by Bryan Hitch, J.G. Jones, Travel Foreman, Paolo Rivera, Clayton Crain, Neal Adams (two of ’em!), and Bart Sears. A Valiant 8-bit cover will carry the company-wide October promo through to Unity and be made by the great Donovan Santiago. You can also expect to see a blank variant out there in the wild.
