Final Exam slays some monsters in new trailer

An arcade beat’em up in the classic style, Final Exam is all about bludgeoning, blasting and all around destroying hordes of monsters out to make you dinner.

A “pure 2.5D side-scroller drenched in blood and zany humor” Mighty Rocket Studio’s Final Exam looks to be seated firmly in the old school. And that’s not a bad thing by the way as side-scrolling action games are making a major league comeback with plenty of modern remakes and original titles making use of the play style.

Final Exam plays out much like you’d think and includes 2-player local and 4-player online co-op. The game also allows you to level-up your characters and their attacks and unlock new weapons as you battle on. Mighty Rocket also promises that there’s a fair amount of exploration to be done in the game’s levels- something that should please the Metroidvania crowd.

Get ready for test time when Final Exam becomes available for download on PC, Xbox LIVE and the PSN on November 8th.
