Rise of the Triad release date and preorder bonuses announced

Apogee Software and Interceptor Entertainment’s relaunch of the classic PC shooter, Rise of the Triad finally has a release date and some freebies if you’re preordering type.

First, the release date – Rise of the Triad will officially be available for downloading on July 31st for the PC. Now, the bonuses –

Beginning July 1st, pre-order Rise of the Triad™ and get the Apogee Throwback Pack™ for FREE, and available for immediate download. The Apogee Throwback Pack™, a collection that includes the original classic Rise of the Triad: Dark War™ and Extreme Rise of the Triad™ expansion pack, as well as Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold™ and Blake Stone: Planet Strike™, is available NOW for $9.99, but is FREE with your Rise of the Triad™ pre-order.

So get the reborn RotT and get the classic version (along with the long lost Blake Stone games) free. That’s a great deal for fans of the series, or just folks looking to get in the ‘spirit’ before the absolute insanity that is RotT arrives at the end of the month.
