Call of Duty’s Ghosts materialize in official trailer

Ghosts might just be the biggest departure from the Call of Duty formula since Modern Warfare first broke onto the scene. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer after the break.

So? Interesting stuff, no?

I’ve played every Call of Duty (except Black Ops II) since the series debuted way back when it had WWII as its setting and I can honestly say I’m more interested in Ghosts than I was in any CoD since Modern Warfare (the first one). And that’s a fitting statement since developer Infinity Ward were not only the first developers of the franchise, but they were the first ones to shake it up with Modern Warfare as well.

From the looks of things, there’s a very different setting involved here and some characters that (hopefully) will be more than just cookie-cutter soldiers. And then there’s the dog. Just a tip for Activision: judging from the comments on the YouTube video, don’t kill off the dog. It would be bad.
