Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is official, trailer out now

After a leak of the actual game last week and tons of folks talking about it ahead of the announcement, Blood Dragon wasn’t exactly a well kept secret- but now the expansion pack/total conversion of Far Cry 3 is officially on the way.

I’m hard pressed to find anything wrong with that trailer. And if you’re a fan of ’80s… well, everything then you probably are too. Michael Biehn voices the lead character, you shoot lasers (shades of the G.I. Joe cartoon!)  and there’s an army of ridiculous looking cyborgs to fight; that should be all you need to know at this point.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be available to download on Xbox Live, the PSN and the PC on May 1st. Just when it might hit Ubisoft’s own download service uPlay is still up in the air thanks to that exploit that was allowing free downloads of the game. PC gamers can actually preorder the game now through Steam though, you’ll even get a free soundtrack if you do.
