Injustice showcases Green Lantern and his evil twin

Earth’s most famous Green Lantern takes on an alternate, Sinestro Corps version of himself in the latest trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

A sworn intergalactic defender of the innocent, within the story of Injustice: Gods Among Us, Hal Jordan is forced to clash with a carbon copy of himself. As he summarizes in the trailer, “My oath says that no evil shall escape my sight. So what happens when that evil is me?”

As a big DC Comics fan, I’ve got high hopes for NetherRealm’s take on the DCU. It looks like there’ll be a pretty heavy multiversal element present with all the different versions of the characters on the roster (something that’s only enforced by this new GL trailer) and I couldn’t be happier with that direction. I’m crossing my fingers as had as I can that Injustice turns out to be the fighter that fans have waited for.

We’ll find out when Injustice: Gods Among Us hits store shelves for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U next week on April 16th.
