The Valiant Universe goes big with Harbinger Wars

The first big crossover to hit the recently relaunched Valiant Comics universe pits Bloodshot against Harbinger and will include some nice bonuses for fans.

Big crossover events are a staple of the comic book industry and usually have a way of making fans take note with major happenings and long lasting repercussions. Harbinger Wars promises to deliver in that category as the nanite-powered commando Bloodshot takes on the evil Harbinger Foundation and their army of uber-powerful telekinetics.

But story points aren’t the only thing that fans of the characters will have to look forward to if they preorder the books of the Harbinger Wars miniseries from their local comic shop. That’s because Valiant has prepared some extra special ‘pullbox variants’ for the series designed to reward those who stand by the books on a monthly basis.

Harbinger Wars #1, Bloodshot #10, and Harbinger #11 will all feature a variant cover set by New York Times best selling creator Clayton Henry that will actually “interlock” with each other to form one big panoramic image. These pullbox editions are pretty limited affairs too, so if you want them, you might want to order earlier than later.

“Valiant’s Pullbox cover program is designed to give our dedicated fans something special for supporting our ongoing series. Now, with Harbinger Wars gearing up to launch not only a standalone mini-series, but new story arcs in Harbinger and Bloodshot too, the time was right to try another first for Valiant – three interlocking Pullbox covers showcasing the true scope of the first crossover event for the new Valiant Universe,” said Valiant Publisher Fred Pierce.

Things start off with a bang this April the 3rd with Harbinger Wars #1 (of 4) by Joshua Dysart, Duane Swierczysnki, & Clayton Henry. The storyline continues a week later in Harbinger #11 by Joshua Dysart & Khari Evans, and a week after that on the 17th with Bloodshot #10- brought to you by Duane Swierczynski & Barry Kitson.
